Gilgit-BALTISTAN produces different varieties of fruits like apple, almond, cherry, apricot, and grapes in huge amounts. Some fruits are preserved for a long time by the process of inhibition. Inhibition is a process of preservation in which we remove water from fruits.in G.B many fruits like apricot and berries are preserved for a long time by the process of inhibition but some fruits are not preserved in G.B like cherry and grapes are produced in huge amount but they are not preserved for a long time.in Gilgit Baltistan, most varieties of fruits are preserved after picking and packaging them for sale in the market but in our area, we have not facilitated of transportation and market that's why almost quantity of fruits is going to be waste and we have not any market place to sell at a time in the market. Gilgit baltistan is beautiful and full of nature place where many fruits production in huge amount like apples,apricot,almond,grapes,cherry and so many.....etc When we are discussing about cherry. They are yummy and good benefits for health. Some benefits are as follow. 1 cherries contain harmone called melatonin which facilitates good sleep 2 cherries contain low calories and conatin vitamin which boost metabolism of body 3 cherries are believed to be one of the energy boost fruit in our body. Cherries production in g.b is in high amount. Their season start from February to end of july in g.b. i think cherries are major source for attraction of land and main source of income for the peoples of g.b. many farmers and families of g.b are depend on cherries for their annual income.this is one of the most and unique fruit production in g.b and now adays at least 3 to 4 years the tourism sector is quickly increasing in g.b and people of g.b are now getting benefits from tour
